AFL Playoffs: Sharks, Soul Advance To American Conference Title Game

The Arena Football League playoffs continued on Saturday with two games, both in the American Conference.

At Philadelphia:

Quarterback Dan Raudabaugh threw for 325 yards and six touchdowns including the go-ahead strike to Andrae Thurman with 8:46 remaining in regulation as the Philadelphia Soul held off the visiting Orlando Predators 59-55.  Predators' quarterback Andy Garcia also threw for six TDs but committed a critical turnover with his fumble in Soul territory with under 30 seconds left.

At Jacksonville, Florida:

A forced fumble on a sack by Matt Marcorelle and subsequent touchdown recovery by Derrick Summers with four seconds remaining as the Jacksonville Sharks completed a 21-point outburst in the last 78 seconds for a come-from-behind 69-62 home victory over the Tampa Bay Storm.

Philadelphia will visit Jacksonville in next Saturday night's American Conference championship game with the winner heading to Orlando for ArenaBowl XXVI to be played on August 17 (CBS Network).
