Sinclair affils ink for My Network TV

My Network TV, Fox's new national program service that launches in the fall, got a boost Thursday with the announcement that station group owner Sinclair Broadcast Group had secured affiliation agreements with the network for 17 of its stations. The stations owned or operated by Sinclair that have signed on with My Network TV, a Monday-Saturday primetime block of programming set to launch Sept. 5, cover 11.9% of U.S. television households. These are in addition to the previously announced 10 stations from the Fox Television Stations group. Together, the Fox and Sinclair-owned stations give My Network TV clearances in markets covering about 36% of U.S. television households. The 17 Sinclair stations include current WB Network affiliates WTTA in Tampa, Fla., WCWB in Pittsburgh, WSTR in Cincinnati, WBSC in Greenville, S.C., KRRT in San Antonio, WTVZ in Norfolk, Va., WNYO in Buffalo, N.Y., KVWB in Las Vegas, WDKA/Paducah, Ky., and WNYS in Syracuse, N.Y. They also include current UPN affiliates WRDC in Raleigh, WUXP in Nashville, WCGV in Milwaukee, WABM in Birmingham, WUPN in Greensboro, N.C., and WMMP in Charleston, S.C., as well as the independent WFGX in Mobile, Ala.
