This Makes Me Feel Old

When Pillsbury introduced Funny Face---it's answer to General Foods' Kool-Aid----in the early-mid 1960s two of the flavors were named Chinese Cherry and Injun Orange.

By circa 1966, they were renamed Choo-Choo Cherry and Jolly Olly Orange respectively.

Honest Injun.

Want Something To Drink To Wash Down Those Post Toasties?

From the mid-1960s, here's a commercial for Funny Face Drink Mix.  The product, introduced in 1964 as Pillsbury's answer to General Foods' Kool-Aid, was originally made without sugar, with calcium cyclamate instead.  By 1966, two of the original flavors, Injun Orange and Chinese Cherry, for obvious reasons, were renamed Jolly Olly Orange and Choo-Choo Cherry, respectively.

This was Pillsbury's competitor to General Foods' Kool-Aid. The product was introduced around 1964. About a couple of years later, Injun Orange and Chinese Cherry were renamed Jolly Olly Orange and Choo-Choo Cherry respectively. Let's be thankful they didn't make Limey Lemon or Negro Chocolate.
