At Cleveland:
Pitcher Trevor Bauer pitched 6 2/3 innings of two-hit shutout ball (striking out slugger Aaron Judge three times) while the bullpen did the rest as the Cleveland Indians (with Jay Bruce batting in three runs) defeated the visiting New York Yankees 4-0 in game one of their divisional playoff series.
