Adam West, the actor who will always bestbe remembered for his portrayal of the title role in the Batman television series, passed away on Friday at age 88.
Mr. West passed on in Los Angeles after a short battle with leukemia.
Adam played the role of Gotham City millionaire Bruce Wayne, who, as the Caped Crusader, fought alongside his youthful ward Dick Grayson (as Robin the Boy Wonder; portrayed by Burt Ward) for law and order in the big city.
The series ran on ABC from 1966 to the end of 1967 and in its first two seasons, aired twice weekly, before becoming a once-a-week show in its' final season.
