NBA Playoffs: Knicks, Heat Take 2-0 Series Leads; Hot Shooting Warriors Head Back To Oakland With Series Squared With Nuggets At One Game Apiece

The National Basketball Association Playoffs continued with three games played on Tuesday.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At New York:

Carmelo Anthony scored 34 points, while newly-named NBA Sixth Man of the Year J.R. Smith added 19 as the New York Knicks defeated the visiting Boston Celtics 87-71 to stretch their conference quarterfinal series lead to two games to none.

At Miami:

Dwyane Wade scored 21 points while LeBron James added 19 as the Miami Heat held off the visiting Milwaukee Bucks 98-86 to stretch their opening-round series advantage to two games to none.



WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Denver:

The Golden State Warriors shot 64.6% from the field as they seized home-court advantage with their 131-117 road win in game two of their first round series with the Denver Nuggets, now squared at one game apiece.  Stephen Curry scored 30 points and dished out 13 assists while Jarrett Jack added 26 points for the Warriors.
