Vick Ballard ran for 180 yards (a career high) and two touchdowns on Friday as the Mississippi State Bulldogs (7-6) held off the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (6-7) 23-17 in the Music City Bowl. The victory was the Bulldogs' fifth straight in bowl games.
