The second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs got underway on Thursday with one game, from the Western Conference.
At Vancouver, British Columbia:
Roberto Luongo stopped all 20 shots while Christopher Higgins scored the only goal of the contest at 12:14 of the second period as the Vancouver Canucks blanked the visiting Nashville Predators 1-0 in the opening round of a Western Conference semifinal series, which of course, is best-of-seven.
