In Saturday's opening semifinal contest of the College Football Playoff, quarterback Trevor Lawrence completed 27 of 39 passes for 327 yards and three touchdowns as the second-seeded Clemson Tigers (14-0) demolished the #3-seeded Notre Dame Fighting Irish (12-1) 30-3 in the Cotton Bowl Classic to advance to their third CFP National Championship Game in four years.
