Ducks Break Open Tight Game To Demolish Bears In Berkeley

At Berkeley, California:

Quarterback Markus Mariota overcame a brief injury to throw for a career-high 377 yards and a school-record-tying six touchdowns as the Oregon Ducks (ranked #3 in the Bowl Championship Series standings and #2 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls; 10-0 overall, 7-0 in Pac-12 play) broke open a game that they had led 24-17 by scoring 35 unanswered points en route to a 59-17 Saturday night pasting of the California Golden Bears (3-8, 2-6) on the road.  The Ducks have now won thirteen straight games, the longest current such streak in the Football Bowl Subdivision.
