At Shreveport, Louisiana:
James Franklin ran for two touchdowns (both two yards) and threw for another one (eight yards to Jerrell Jackson) as the Missouri Tigers (8-5) manhandled the North Carolina Tar Heels (7-6) 41-24 on Monday in the Independence Bowl. The game was the Tigers' final football match as members of the Big 12 Conference. They will join the Southeatern Conference next year.
