'Bama Rips Spartans Apart In Orlando

At Orlando, Florida:

Alabama (10-3) buried Michigan State (11-2) 49-7 in the most lopsided game in the history of the Capital One Bowl (which began as the Tangerine Bowl in 1947).  Mark Ingram set a new Alabama school career record on Saturday with two touchdown runs, giving the 2009 Heisman Trophy winner 42 rushing touchdowns in his career.  Quarterback Greg McElroy helped the Crimson Tide's cause as he threw for 220 yards and a touchdown.
