"Linus The Lionhearted" was a cartoon show that aired for two years on CBS (1964-66), with first-run cartoons that were produced both years, before reruns were aired on ABC (1966-67). The show was sponsored by General Mills through its' Post Cereals division and featured cartoon characters that appeared on the front of Post Cereal boxes (ie: Linus the Lionhearted for Crispy Critters, So-Hi for Rice Krinklels, Lovable Truly for Alpha Bits, and Sugar Bear for Post Sugar Crisp). The series came to an end because of complaints from killjoys such as state-of-mind ubersocialist Peggy Charrin that the show was no more than in infomercial for Post cereals.

Actually, I think the reruns aired on ABC from 1966 to 1969.
