Goals from Amobi Okugo (OG-7'), Christian Superman Ramirez (47'), and Abu Dunladi (64'; he would be ejected in the 70th minute via the red card) carried Minnesota United to a 3-2 Wednesday Major League Soccer home victory over the Portland Timbers in a match that saw both clubs reduced to ten men.

For the Timbers, Diego Valeri successfully converted a penalty kick in the 37th minute and Vytas had a pass deflect off the Loons' Francisco Calvo for an own goal in the 49th minute.
