Huskies Ground Undersized Pilots In World Vision Classic Finale

At Seattle:


Terrence Ross scored 13 of his 24 points in the first half as the Washington Huskies (3-0) had runs of 11-2 at the end of the opening half and 14-3 at the start of the second half as they mauled the Portland Pilors (2-1) 93-63 on Monday night in the final match of the World Vision Basketball Classic.

In Sunday action from the World Vision Classic, Nemanja Mitrovic scored 13 points as the Portland Pilots (2-0) defeated the Georgia State Panthers (0-2) 66-61.

Pilots Top Owls In Season Opener

At Seattle:


Derrick Rodgers' basket with 28 seconds remaining gave the Portland Pilots (1-0) the lead, and the West Coast Conference school, led by Nemanja Mitrovic's 18 points, defeated Florida Atlantic (0-1) 70-65 in action in the World Vision Classic.  It was the regular-season men's basketball opener for both schools.
