Quarterback Marcus Mariota gained 386 total yards (253 yards passing---including a 16-yard touchdown pass to Josh Huff, 133 yards on the ground) while Avery Patterson (37 yards) and Derrick Malone (38 yards) ran back intercepted Case McCoy passes for TDs as the Oregon Ducks (#10 in the Bowl Championship Series standings and the Associated Press poll, #12 in the USA Today/Coaches rankings; 11-2) manhandled the Texas Longhorns (8-5) 30-7 in Monday's Alamo Bowl, spoiling Mack Brown's finale as Longhorns' head football coach after 16 seasons.

End Of An Era In Austin
You can't argue with the success Mack Brown had at Texas (158-47 record and a national title [2005] in 16 seasons.
