The Oregon State Beavers (1-1) ended their ten-game losing streak on Saturday with their 37-7 home demolition of Idaho State (1-2).  Victor Bolden ran for 111 yards on three carries (92 yards on one for a touchdown) while Treston Decoud ran back an interception 75 yards for another score.

Kyle Richardson scored 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds on Saturday as the Portland State Vikings (16-13 overall, 11-9 in Big Sky play) defeated the visiting Idaho State Bengals (11-18, 8-12) 78-74 in overtime in the regular-season finale for both schools.  The Vikings will head into the Big Sky Conference tournament as the #5 seed while the Bengals (who finished 10th in the conference standings, second from the bottom) failed to qualify.

The Portland Pilots (1-1), in their home opener,  nosed out the visiting Idaho State Bengals (0-2) 51-48 on Thursday.  Junior forward Ryan Nicholas scored a game-high 22 points for the victorious Pilots.  Portland's defense limited the Bengals to 40% shooting from the floor.
