Stanley Cup Playoffs: Penguins Stay Alive By Topping Flyers; Golden Knights Level Series With Mammoth At Two Games Apiece After OT Victory

The Stanley Cup Playoffs' opening round continue on Monday with two contests. EASTERN CONFERENCE:  At PPG Paints Arena, Pittsburgh: Kris Letang scored the winning goal with 2:48 remaining in regulation time as the Pittsburgh Penguins again avoided elimination by defeating the visiting Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 in the fifth game of their conference quarterfinal series.  The Flyers can still finish off the Penguins with a game-six victory at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in the City of Brotherly Love this coming Wednesday at 4:30 PM PDT on TBS and TruTV.  


WESTERN CONFERENCE:  


At Delta Center, Salt Lake City, Utah:  Shea Theodore scored the winning goal with 52 seconds remaining in overtime as the Vegas Golden Knights came from behind to overtake the homestanding Utah Mammoth 5-4, tying their opening-round series at two games apiece.
