JOE BURROW CAPS OFF HUGE YEAR AS HE GUIDES LSU TO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP AT CLEMSON'S EXPENSE

At The Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans:

Quarterback Joe Burrow threw for 463 yards and five touchdowns (two each to JaMarr Chase and Thaddeus Moss) and ran for 58 yards and another score on Monday night as the top-seeded Louisiana State Tigers (15-0) capped off an undefeated season by throttling the third-seeded (and defending champs) Clemson Tigers (14-1) 42-25 in the College Football Playoff's National Championship Game.

LSU won it's first national title since 2007 and fourth overall.
