NCAA Midwest: Huskies, Heels, Cougars, Buckeyes Advance

The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament's Round of 64 continued on Friday with four games in the Midwest Regional.

At Nationwide Arena, Columbus, Ohio:

Game #1:

Noah Dickerson scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the ninth-seeded Washington Huskies (27-8) defeated the eighth-seeded Utah State Aggies (28-7) 78-61.

Jaylen Nowell added 19 points to the Huskies' coffers.

Game #2:

Cameron Johnson scored 21 points as the top-seeded North Carolina Tar Heels (28-6), with five players scoring in double figures, overcame a five-point halftime deficit to put away the sixteenth-seeded Iona Gaels (17-16) 88-73.

Rickey McGill paced the Gaels with 26 points.



At BOK Arena, Tulsa, Oklahoma:

Game #1:

Corey Davis, Jr. scored 26 points as the third-seeded Houston Cougars (32-3) ran roughshod over the fourteenth-seeded Georgia State Panthers (24-10) 84-55.

Game #2:

Kaleb Wesson scored 21 points and pulled in 12 rebounds as the 11th-seeded Ohio State Buckeyes (20-14) held off the sixth-seeded Iowa State Cyclones (23-12) 62-59.

Marial Shayok topped the Cyclones with 26 points while Nick Weiler-Bobb's game-tying three-point attempt which could have sent to contest into overtime was unsuccessful.
