At Boston:
In Wednesday fifth game of the NBA's Eastern Conference Finals, Jayson Tatum scored 24 points as the Boston Celtics downed the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers 96-83, offsetting the 26-point, 10-rebound performance from the Cavaliers' LeBron James.
The Celtics, who lead the series three games to two, can end Cleveland's three-year reign as Eastern Conference champions and advance to the NBA Finals (for the first time since 2010; their most recent league crown came in 2008) with a game-six win in Cleveland on Friday (5:30 PM Pacific Time, ESPN).
