Dave Jennings, a former NFL punter with the New York Giants (1974-84) and New York Jets (1985-87), passed away on Wednesday at his Upper Saddle River, New Jersey home at age 61.
Mr. Jennings had been battling Parkinson's disease for the past 17 years.
Dave holds the Giants' franchise records for punts (931), yards (38,792). He was selected to play in four Pro Bowls. His single-season career best was 44.8 yards per punt (gross average) in 1980.
Dave concluded his career with the New York Jets in 1987.
More recently, he was a member of the Giants' radio broadcasting team.
