Dale Robertson, best remembered as a strong-minded star of Westerns in the movies and on television for some three decades, passed away on Wednesday in San Diego at age 89 of complications from lung cancer and pneumonia.
The Oklahoma-born Mr. Robertson appeared in some sixty motion pictures and starred in such TV Western series as Tales of Wells Fargo (1957-61), Iron Horse (1966-68), and Death Valley Days, which he hosted from 1968 until 1972.
