Wow! A Blazers Game Program!

We're talking about the WHA's Philadelphia Blazers, here. NOT the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers!

Here's the front cover of the official program of the Blazers' January 13, 1973 home contest against the Quebec Nordiques.

Featured on the cover is Quebec defenseman J.C. Tremblay.

The Blazers manhandled the Nordiques 9-4 at the Philadelphia Civic Center.

Wow! A Les Binkley Ottawa Nationals Hockey Card!!

Here's a hockey card featuring former Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Les Binkley, who was playing at the time (1972-73) with the Ottawa Nationals of the World Hockey Association.

Say, Didn't These Guys Use To Be The Jersey Knights?

Here's the front cover of the official 1974-75 media guide of the WHA's San Diego Mariners, formerly the Jersey Knights, formerly the New York Golden Blades, formerly the New York Raiders.

The Mariners hung on in San Diego for three years before closing up shop in the summer of 1977.

Say, Didn't These Guys Use To Be The New York Golden Blades?

Here's an official game program of the Jersey Knights' November 25, 1973 WHA home contest against the Quebec Nordiques.

The game was played at the Cherry Hill Arena in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, just outside Philadelphia.

The Knights were the newly-transplanted New York Golden Blades (formerly the New York Raiders).

This was their first game at their home.  The Knights won the game 3-1.

Say, Didn't These Guys Use To Be The New York Raiders?

Here's a 1973-74 season-ticket brochure for the WHA's New York Golden Blades (formerly the New York Raiders).

The combination of poor attendance and high rentals at Madison Square Garden forced the WHA to move the franchise to Cherry Hill, New Jersey in November of 1973.

The team was renamed the Jersey Knights.

No--------Not THOSE Raiders!

Here's the front cover of the official 1972-73 media guide of the New York Raiders of the WHA.

NOT The Blackhawks

This looks like a decal with the logo of the WHA's Chicago Cougars, from both the club's and league's inaugural season (1972-73).

They Were The ALBERTA Oilers Then

Here's the 1972-73 schedule guide for the Alberta Oilers of the newly-formed World Hockey Association.

The Oilers would change their name to the Edmonton Oilers the following season.
