From 1948, here's a trailer for the Columbia Pictures 15-part serial, "Superman."  Kirk Alyn, who played the role of the Man of Steel, both in this series, and its' 1950 sequel, "Atom Man vs. Superman," never had his name on the credits in any of the episodes of either serial.  Noel Noell, who played Lois Lane in this first serial, later portrayed her on the television series of the 1950s that starred George Reeves and Krypton's lone survivor.

Kent Taylor, who was one of the stars of this serial, later starred as "Boston Blackie" on television in the syndicated series that ran from 1951 to 1954.
