Tom Coughlin Steps Down As Giants Coach
At least the two-time Super Bowl-winning coach elected to shove off before getting pushed out.
Or maybe Tom was pushed out after all.

Giants Vs. Dodgers
The New York Giants vs. the Brooklyn Dodgers.
The NFL version, that is.
Here's the cover of the program for the October 16, 1932 contest at the old Polo Grounds between the New York Giants and the visiting Brooklyn Dodgers.
Chris "Red" Cagle, a running back for the Giants, is on the cover.

The Brooklyn Dodgers, who arrived in 1930 after relocating from Dayton, Ohio, would eventually be purchased by Dan Topping, who would be best remembered as owner of baseball's New York Yankees.
This is the same Dan Topping who defected after the 1945 season to the newly-formed All-America Football Conference and placed his New York Yankees football team at Yankee Stadium.
The Boston Braves club that would visit the Giants the following week would be renamed the Boston Redskins the following year, then move to Washington in 1937.

The $60,000,000 Finger
Nice going Jason.
That stupid mistake you made this past Saturday night cost you the index finger on your right hand.
And quite possibly a $60,000,000 offer from the New York Football Giants.

Less Than Memorable Sunday For Niners: Giants Run Roughshod In NFC Title Game Rematch
At San Francisco:
Antrel Rolle intercepted two Alex Smith passes and Prince Amukamara picked off another, while Ahmad Bradshaw carried the ball 27 times for 116 yards and a third-quarter touchdown and Lawrence Tynes kicked four field goals as the New York Giants (4-2) handed the home-standing San Francisco 49ers (4-2) their most lopsided defeat of the Jim Harbaugh regime 26-3 on Sunday in a rematch of last January's NFC Championship Game, which the Giants won in overtime, thanks in part to Niners' special teams miscues.
