Josh McSwiggan scored 31 points and grabbed 11 rebounds on Tuesday night as the Portland Pilots, in their men's college basketball regular-season opener, held off the visiting---and game----Multnomah University Lions 111-103.
Justin Martin scored 39 points and Ben Grandle added 34 (each converting eight three-point shots) to pace the NAIA school.

The Portland State Vikings (3-2) defeated the visiting Multnomah University Lions from Portland (NAIA) 100-82 on Saturday.
