Timbers Fall In Montreal

At Montreal:

Orji Okwonkwo scored twice (28', 66') on Wednesday as the Montreal Impact held off the visiting Portland Timbers 2-1 in Major League Soccer action.

Tomas Conechny scored for the Timbers in the 53rd minute.

Next up for Portland, a home contest against FC Dallas this coming Sunday at 8:00 PM Pacific Time (Timbers TV Network via KPTV, Portland, ESPN+, UniMas, Twitter).

Timbers Battle Impact To Home Draw; MLS Unbeaten Streak Now At 13

At Portland, Oregon:

In Major League Soccer action on Saturday, Samuel Armenteros (39') and Diego Valeri (65') each scored a goal as the Portland Timbers stretched their MLS unbeaten streak to 13 games after securing a 2-2 home draw with the Montreal Impact.

Saphir Taider (23') and Matteo Mancosu (41') each scored once for the Impact.

The Timbers will try to keep that unbeaten streak going this coming Saturday evening when they will host the Houston Dynamo, starting at 6:00 PM Pacific Time (Timbers broadcasting television network via KPDX-TV, Portland).

Impact Manhandle Shorthanded Timbers

At Montreal:

In Saturday Major League Soccer action, Ignacio Piatti scored twice (PK-13', 50') while Kyle Fisher (43') and Ambroise Oyongo (77') each tallied once as the Montreal Impact dominated the Portland Timbers (who were reduced to ten men after Diego Chara was ejected via the red card in the 18th minute) 4-1 at home.

Diego Valeri scored the Timbers' lone goal in the opening minute of first-half stoppage time.

The Timbers' next match is in Seattle against the rival Sounders in a nationally-televised Cascadia Cup clash next Saturday at 12:00 Noon Pacific Time (FOX).

Timbers Settle For Home Draw With Impact

At Portland, Oregon:

Ignacio Iapatti's equalizer in the 44th minute lifted the Montreal Impact to a 1-1 Wednesday night Major League Soccer road draw with the Portland Timbers, whose MLS unbeaten run was stretched to eight games.

Jack McInerney scored for the hosts in the 14th minute.

The Timbers will host the Seattle Sounders in a nationally-televised Cascadia Cup Clash on Sunday at 12:00 Noon Pacific Time (FOX Television Network).

Diego Valeri Delivers Again For Timbers As Portland Hands Montreal Fifth Straight Loss

At Montreal:

Diego Valeri, for the second straight game, scored the game-winning goal, this time in the 82nd minute on Sunday as the Portland Timbers defeated the Montreal Impact 3-2 in Major League Soccer action.  The Impact suffered their fifth consecutive defeat, longest in their three-season MLS existence. 

The Timbers will pay a visit on the Los Angeles Galaxy at Carson, California of a nationally-televised match this coming Saturday (11:30 AM Pacific Time, NBC).

Timbers Could Not Climb Out Of Two-Goal Deficit This Time

At Portland, Oregon:

Hassoun Camara (30') and Felipe Martins (60') each scored a goal on Saturday night as the Montreal Impact grabbed another win on Cascadia soil, this time 2-1 over the Portland Timbers in Major League Soccer action. Ryan Johnson scored the lone Timbers goal in the 80th minute.
