Enrique Hernandez hit three homers and drove in seven runs on Thursday as the Los Angeles Dodgers ripped apart the Chicago Cubs 11-1 on the road to win the National League Championship Series four games to one and advance to their first World Series since 1988.

The Dodgers avenged their League Championship Series defeat of last year, in which the Cubs took that series in six games, en route to their first World Series title since 1908.

At Chicago:

Javier Baez hit two home runs while Jake Arrieta pitched three-hit ball into the seventh inning on Wednesday night as the Chicago Cubs held off the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 in game five of the National League Championship Series.

The Dodgers, who still lead the series three games to one, can lock up their first National League pennant in 29 years with a game-five victory in Chicago on Thursday.

At Chicago:

Andre Ethier and Chris Taylor each hit a home run on Tuesday while Yu Darvish pitched solidly into the seventh inning as the Los Angeles Dodgers manhandled the Chicago Cubs 6-1 on the road in the third game of the National League Championship Series, which the Dodgers now lead three games to none.

Los Angeles can lock up its' first National League pennant since 1988----and avenge their LCS defeat at the hands of the defending world champions---with a road win Wednesday in game four.

At Los Angeles:

Justin Turner hit a walk-off three-run homer with two out in the ninth inning on Sunday as the Los Angeles Dodgers stretched their advantage over the Chicago Cubs in the National League Championship Series to two games to none after their 4-1 game-two home victory over the defending World Series champions.

In Saturday's opening game of the National League Championship Series, Yasiel Puig and Chris Taylor each hit a home run as the Los Angeles Dodgers overcame a two-run deficit to overpower the visiting Chicago Cubs 5-2.

Ben Zobrist (named series Most Valuable Player), hit an RBI double in the tenth inning while Miguel Montero singled home another run in the same inning on Wednesday night as the Chicago Cubs won their first World Series championship since 1908 by winning game seven 8-7 on the road in ten innings over the Cleveland Indians (still awaiting their first World Series title since 1948).

The Cubs became the sixth team (the first since the Kansas City Royals in 1985) to overcome a three-games-to-one series deficit to win the world championship, and the fourth to do so by winning the final two contests on the road.

2016 World Series: Cubs Crush Indians To Force Game Seven

At Cleveland:

With home runs by Kris Bryant (solo shot, first inning), Addison Russell (grand slam (first in Cubs World Series history), third inning; he delivered a single-game record-tying six runs batted in; that's him running the bases after his slam), and Anthony Rizzo (two-run shot, ninth inning) the Chicago Cubs leveled the World Series at three games apiece following their 9-3 game-six Tuesday road beat-down of the Cleveland Indians.

On Wednesday, with Kyle Hendricks on the mound for Chicago and Corey Kluber likewise for Cleveland, the World Series will be decided in game seven.

If the Indians win, they would win their first World Series title since 1948.  If the Cubs win, it would be their first since 1908.

2016 World Series: Cubs Hold Off Indians, Force Game Six In Cleveland

At Chicago:

In the final World Series contest at Wrigley Field on Sunday, Kris Bryant hit a solo home run (shown here) to spark a three-run fourth inning while Aroldis Chapman delivered an eight-out performance to seal the victory as the Chicago Cubs extended the Fall Classic by holding off the visiting Cleveland Indians 3-2 in game five.

The Indians, who still lead three games to two, can still wrap up their first world championship since 1948 with a game-six win back home in Cleveland on Tuesday night.

2016 World Series: Corey Kluber Handcuffs Cubs Bats Again As Indians Smother Chicago 7-2 For 3-1 Series Lead; Cleveland One Win Away From First World Title Since 1948

At Chicago:

Corey Kluber pitched six innings of solid baseball on Saturday while Carlos Santana (solo shot, second inning) and Jason Kipnis (three-runner, seventh; that's him, on the center, ceelbrating with Coco Crisp afterward) each delivered a home run as the Cleveland Indians smothered the Chicago Cubs 7-2 on the road in the fourth game of the World Series.

The Indians, who lead the series three games to one, can lay claim to their first World Series title since 1948 with a game-five victory at Chicago's Wrigley Field on Sunday.

No team has come back from a three-games-to-one deficit to win a World Series since 1985, when the Kansas City Royals upended the St. Louis Cardinals.

In the first World Series contest to be played at Wrigley Field since October 10, 1945, Coco Crisp (seen here) delivered a pinch-hit RBI single in the seventh inning, scoring pinch-runner Michael Martinez from third base while pitchers Josh Tomlin (who started), Andrew Miller, Brian Shaw, and closer Cody Allen combined on a five-hit shutout as the Cleveland Indians blanked the Chicago Cubs 1-0 in game three of the Fall Classic, which the Indians now lead two games to one.

2016 World Series: Cubs Effective In Handcuffing Indians' Bats As Chicago Squares Series At 1-1

At Cleveland:

Jake Arietta carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning while Mike Montgomery and Aroldis Chapman did their jobs in relief as the Chicago Cubs, with Kyle Schwarber going two-for-three with a walk and driving in a pair of runs,  leveled the World Series at one game apiece on Wednesday with a 5-1 road victory over the Cleveland Indians.

At Cleveland:

Roberto Perez hit two home runs (a solo shot and a three-runner) while Corey Kluber, Andrew Miller, and Cody Allen combined on a 15-strikeout shutout as the Cleveland Indians smothered the visiting Chicago Cubs 6-0 in Tuesday's opening game of the World Series. Here, we see the aforementioned Mr. Kluber and Mr. Perez, who were the two big heroes for the Indians, who are three victories away from their first World Series crown since 1948.

Starter Kyle Hendricks and relief man Aroldis Chapman combined on a two-hit shutout while Anthony Rizzo and Willson Contreras each hit a home run on Saturday night as the Chicago Cubs locked up their first National League Pennant (and first World Series berth) in 71 years with a 5-0 smothering of the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers in game six of the National League Championship Series, which the Cubs won four games to two.

Two Cubs, second baseman Javier Baez and pitcher Jon Lester, shared the series' Most Valuable Player award.

The Cubs will open up the World Series against the Indians in Cleveland on Tuesday, in search of their first world championship since 1908.

The Cleveland Indians are searching for their first World Series crown since 1948.

At Los Angeles:

A strong seven-inning pitching performance from Jon Lester, combined with a two-run Addison Russell home run and a three-run double in the eighth inning from Javier Baez lifted the Chicago Cubs to a 8-4 game-five road victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday in the National League Championship Series, which the Cubs now lead three games to two.

The Cubs can wrap up their first National League pennant (and punch their ticket for their first World Series appearance) in 71 years with a game-six victory back home in Chicago on Saturday.

Daniel Murphy hit a home run in his Major League Baseball record sixth consecutive game while Lucas Duda hit a homer himself and batted in five runs on Wednesday as the New York Mets completed a four-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs 8-3 on the road and won their fifth National League pennant, their first since 2000.

The Mets, who never trailed in any of the National League Championship Series games, will open the World Series at Toronto or Kansas City next Tuesday night.
