Matt Hauser scored a career-high 29 points on Friday night as the Portland State Vikings (4-5) defeated the visiting Cal State Northridge Matadors (2-8) 73-67.

Terrell Gomez top the Matadors with 21 points.

Terrell Gomez scored 28 points on Wednesday night as the Cal State Northridge Matadors (2-7) ended the Portland Pilots' (6-2) five-game winning streak with 71-64 road victory.

Beavers Open Season By Goring Visiting Matadors

At Corvallis, Oregon:

Tres Tinkle scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds (while dishing out seven assists) on Tuesday night as the Oregon State Beavers' men's basketball team opened their regular season by dominating the visiting Cal State Northridge Matadors 87-67.

Pilots Knock Off Matadors On Road

At Los Angeles:

JoJo Walker scored 23 points and dished out seven assists on Saturday as the Portland Pilots (2-2) upended the Cal State Northridge Matadors 80-77  on the road.

Terrell Gomez scored 25 points and Lamine Diane added 21 to pace the Matadors.

Pilots Dominate Matadors, Win Seventh-Place Game At Wooden Legacy

At Anaheim, California:

Alec Wintering (who converted 14 of 20 shots from the field) scored a career-high 36 points on Sunday while Jazz Johnson added 26 as the Portland Pilots (4-2) defeated the Cal State Northridge Matadors (2-5) 96-78 in the seventh-place game in the Wooden Legacy.

Vikings Fall At Home To Matadors

At Portland, Oregon:

Michael Warren scored eight of his fifteen points in the final eight minutes on Thursday night as the Cal State Northridge Matadors (3-7) held off the Portland State Vikings (3-6) 77-71 on the road, snapping a five-game losing streak.  The Vikings, despite Calaen Robinson's 21 points (on seven three-point buckets), dropped their fourth consecutive start.

Ducks Gore Visiting Matadors

At Eugene, Oregon:

Joseph Young scored 18 points while as the Oregon Ducks (7-3) dominated visiting Cal State-Northridge (3-8) 79-56 on Wednesday.  Stephan Hicks scored 19 points to pace the Matadors and became CSUN's all-time leading career scorer with 1644. 

Vikings Knock Off Matadors, Stay Unbeaten

At Northridge, California:

Tiegbe Bamba scored 18 points as the Portland State Vikings (4-0, first such start in six years) held on for a 63-55 Wednesday road win over the Cal State-Northridge Matadors (2-4).
