Kellyn Acosta scored the only goal of the match in the 83rd minute on Wednesday as the Colorado Rapids locked up a berth in the MLS Cup Playoffs after knocking off the Portland Timbers 1-0 on the road.
The Timbers will close out the regular season on Sunday when they visit the Los Angeles Football Club this coming Sunday (Decision Day) at 3:30 PM Pacific Time on Fox Sports One.
