At Portland, Oregon:
Goals from Perry Kitchen (OG-28'), Brian Fernandez (34'), Sebastian Blanco (37'), and Jorge Moreira (82') enabled the Portland Timbers to demolish the visiting Los Angeles Galaxy 4-0 in a Wednesday Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Round-of-16 match.
The Timbers will resume Major League Soccer action on Saturday as they host the Houston Dynamo (8:00 PM Pacific Time, ROOT Sports Northwest, ESPN+).
Portland will visit the winner of this Thursday's Los Angeles Football Club-San Jose Earthquakes contest in an Open Cup quarterfinal match on July 10.
