At Portland, Oregon:
Kalif Alhassan (45'+1), Rodney Wallace (83'), Will Johnson (87'), and Diego Valeri (90'+3) provided the scoring as the Portland Timbers busted open a tight game and dominated visiting Toronto FC 4-0 in Saturday Major League Soccer play. The victory, with goalkeeper Milos Kokic picking up the shutout in place of international-duty-bound Donovan Ricketts, was the Timbers first ever in four tries against the Reds.
Portland will visiting Chivas USA at the StubHub Center in Carson, California next Saturday.
