Omar Sharif, the Egyptian actor who rode to international fame in such motion pictures as "Lawrence of Arabia" (1962) and "Doctor Zhivago" (1965), passed away on Friday at a Cairo, Egypt hospital from a heart attack at age 83.
Later in life, Mr. Sharif became known for his expertise in the game of bridge.
