Geraldo's Successor

With Geraldo Rivera leaving his Fox News Channel program At Large to prepare for the debut of his new show on the Fox owned and operated stations (replacing the cancelled revival of A Current Afair), is there anyone out there with an idea who, or what, would succeed Geraldo's show?

I have decided to plop another vidcap of Shepard Smith and Jane Skinner, from during a "Skinnerville" minisegment on Shep's other show "Studio B with Shepard Smith." I wonder if Jane's all too infrequently seen show, "Sunday Best," will ever return. Posted by Picasa

Ideal Changes For "DaySide"

I have come up with the idea that Fox News Channel would have been much better off if they had named someone with a professional demeaner like Uma Pemmaraju or Donna Fiducia to host DaySide and if they eliminated the studio audience.

FNC Hurricane Coverage and Program Changes

As you know by now, Fox News Channel, along with the other major cable news outlets, has been providing extensive coverage of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath. On the day that the storm made landfall, FNC correspondent Steve Harrigan was literally hanging on for dear life in Gulfport, Mississippi. Many FNC correspondents, including anchorman Shep Smith, were reporting or anchoring news programming from New Orleans or other areas smashed by Katrina. Whatever major news stories, wherever and whenever, break out, Fox News can provide solid coverage.

On the programming front, Fox News has pulled the plug on two of its' weekend shows: After Hours with Cal Thomas (Saturday nights at 8:00 PM Pacific/ 11:00 PM Eastern Time) and Fox Magazine, hosted by Laurie Dhue (Sunday nights at 8:00 PM Pacific/11:00 PM Eastern Time). The series finales first aired on September 10 and September 11, respectively. Reruns of Heartland with John Kasich will move into the hour vacated by After Hours and repeats of Fox News Watch.

Bill Hemmer's Fox News Channel Debut Set

Former CNN anchorman Bill Hemmer, who recently signed with the Fox News Channel, will begin anchoring the 9AM Pacific/12 Noon Eastern time hour of Fox News Live (and probably co-pilot the half-hour prior to it with a colleague) beginning on Monday, August 29. He's taking over the time slot formerly held by newly-appointed documentary unit chief David Asman.

Cable News Overkill

I have come to the conclusion that cable news outlets have given too much time to child molestation trials like that of Michael Jackson, murder trials like that of Scotty Peterson, missing kids or teenagers, and car or motorcycle chases.

Monday, June 13, 2005

Unless you were living on the planet Pluto, Michael Jackson was found not guilty on all ten counts at his child molestation trial today at the courthouse in Santa Maria, California. He still looks like a pedaphile to me if you'd ask me. Posted by Hello

Thoughts On "Fox & Friends"

It is my humble opinion that the weekday version of Fox & Friends with Steve Doocy, E.D. Hill, and Brian Kilmeade is superior to its weekend (Mike Jerrick, Juliet Huddy, Julian Phillips) counterpart. On the weekend show, Mike Jerrick, on too many occasions, acts like a total buffoon. Juliet Huddy (and the show's Sunday newsreader Kiran Chetry) dresses like a fugitive from an all-night party.
